Week Five CSD Prime Computer Model – No One Wants To Be In The Top Ten

After plummeting following a loss to Mississippi State, LSU has returned to the top ten as almost every single team in front of them underperformed expectations. Even Oklahoma, which lost to Iowa State, underperformed expectations by a smaller margin than many similarly rated teams (UCF, Texas, North Carolina) and thus don’t drop at all. Check out the rankings here!

A note, as always, these rankings DO NOT reflect a team’s resume, or even whether they have won or lost, they are solely used to measure a team’s strength in the sense Vegas would to set lines. Thus, team talent remains an important variable throughout the season, even if a team continues to lose (see: Oklahoma). Additionally, recent games are weighted more heavily.
