Just 4 days after being shockingly released from the Detroit Pistons Smith debuted with his new team, the Houston Rockets. The veteran scored 21 points and pulled down 8 rebounds in first game with team, a 117-111 overtime win over the Memphis Grizzles. James Harden led the team with 32 points.  “When you’re a professional, and you’ve played a lot of years, it’s not that hard,” Smith said of joining a new team, “especially since you know a lot of the guys in the locker room. They helped me out when I was kind of lost our there.”
