BRAZIL 2 WINS AWAY

Brazil advanced to the semifinals of the 2014 World Cup with a 2-1 win over Colombia in one of the best games this World Cup but this competitive battle ended in tragedy as Golden Boot contender and Barcelona star Neymar was brought off the game in a stretcher after breaking his vertebraeĀ in the 88th minute after Colombia’s Juan Zuniga kneed him in the back. David Luiz’s 35-yard free kick goal in the 69th minute was the difference-maker after James Rodreguez’s PK cancelled out Thiago Silva’s strike in the 7th minute. Brazil will face Germany in the semifinals WITHOUT Neymar (injury) or Thiago Silva (suspension).
